Dissolving Whitening Strips

  1. I'm on a limited budget, which product would you recommend for me - the Leave-In Whitening Strips or the Dissolving Whitening Strips?

Both are effective, so we advise that you purchase either of our Whitening Strips, depending on what best suits your needs.  Our Leave-In Whitening Strips must be worn for at least 60 minutes for optimal results, while our Dissolving Whitening Strips are only kept on for approximately 15 minutes, before disappearing.  These Strips are great for those with limited downtime and wanting to whiten on-the-go.
  2. After I achieved the result that I wanted, can I still continue to use your range of Whitening Strips?

Definitely!  Regular treatments and top-ups are what will allow you to keep your amazing results.
  3. Can the whitening strips be in contact with my gums?

Yes, but such contact should be minimised to avoid gum irritation.

  4. What if I experience tooth sensitivity after using Bliss Whitening Strips?

It is not uncommon to experience tooth sensitivity and/or gum irritation when whitening your teeth. This is temporary and NOT harmful. To alleviate symptoms, it may be sensible to whiten your teeth on alternate days, rather than daily whitening. Brush with toothpaste for sensitive teeth after applying Bliss Whitening Strips to help with sensitivity and remember to gargle with mouthwash daily to keep your gums healthy and happy!

  5. Should I brush my teeth before/after using Bliss Whitening Strips?

Ideally your teeth should be clean when applying the whitening strips. Using our primer toothpaste and sonic whitening toothbrush will help achieve the best results. You may brush your teeth again after use, if you wish, to remove any residue from the strips.

  6. How do whitening strips differ from trays?

As well as being more cost-effective than trays, Bliss Whitening Strips are more comfortable, less bulky, and allow you to whiten on the go. What's more, each strip already contains the optimum amount of whitening gel so it's less hassle for you and helps to ensure you achieve an even white smile.

  7. Can I swallow saliva while whitening strips are applied?

Yes, you can. It is perfectly safe to swallow saliva when using the whitening strips. You may also notice a foaming reaction as the hydrogen peroxide works its magic – this is completely normal.

General

  1. Is it okay to use your products after a whitening session with a dentist?

Definitely!  This will ensure that your teeth continue to stay white and healthy.
  2. Any food I need to avoid during treatment?

We advise that you refrain from or minimise smoking, drinking wine, tea, coffee and other food items that usually stain your teeth.  Excessive intake of any of these may take longer to achieve your goal of whitening your teeth.
  3. What if I have gingivitis, sores, or open wounds in my mouth?

In general, brushing your teeth regularly will prevent gingivitis and our product can help prevent its occurrence.  If you already have gingivitis, we advise that you seek professional help.  With regard to sores and open wounds in your mouth, it may cause a stinging sensation, but is safe in general.
  4. How white can I expect my teeth to go? Is there a bleaching effect, or can the products only restore the natural colour of the teeth?

How white your teeth turn out depends on many factors, such as diet, age, genetics, and how well you stick to your routine.  The active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide which has a bleaching effect, but will only work on natural teeth and not on any oral aesthetics.
  5. Are your products safe to use for veneers, crowns and other oral aesthetics?

Yes, they are safe, but will not alter the colour of veneers and crowns
  6. Does Bliss use microbeads in the whitening primer toothpaste formula?

No. We will never use microbeads in any of our products.
  7. How often should I brush my teeth?

Dentists recommend that you brush your teeth at least twice a day for 2 minutes with a toothpaste containing fluoride like our Bliss Whitening Primer Toothpaste.

  8. What if I experience tooth sensitivity or gum irritation?

It is not uncommon to experience tooth sensitivity and / or gum irritation while whitening your teeth. This is temporary and NOT harmful. To alleviate symptoms, it may be sensible to whiten your teeth on alternate days, until you have used all of the strips. If the problem persists, discontinue use and consult your dentist.

  9. Will I get even results?

Each Bliss Whitening strip contains the exact amount of whitening gel to effectively whiten your teeth. Each strip should be positioned across the teeth and gently pressed into place, aiming to get maximum contact with all your visible teeth. This will ensure even spread of the whitening gel.

  10. White spots have appeared on my teeth – should I be concerned?

No – these spots are a result of mineral loss and although rare, if you do notice them, they should disappear within 24 hours.

  11. When will I see results?

Results will differ from person to person and depend on many factors, including whether you smoke, drink a lot of coffee, and certain foods you consume. Some people will see results after just one application of our whitening strips, and others will see results after three applications. Those who have a lower coffee and tea intake and do not smoke are likely to see results faster. We recommend using our whitening strips daily, as well as using our priming toothpaste and sonic toothbrush, for optimum results that will last longer.

  12. How long do the teeth whitening effects last?

Teeth whitening is not permanent. People who expose their teeth to foods and
beverages that cause staining will see their results fade over time. Your desired results rest entirely with you! Our whitening strips can be applied up to twice per day, so if you are diligent with your applications, your pearly white grin will last and last! Using our dentist-approved primer toothpaste and sonic toothbrush will also offer you the best results and a longer-lasting white smile.
  13. Can I use the Bliss whitening products if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Apart from our Bliss Whitening Strips, all other products in the Bliss range are regulated as cosmetics under the EU Directive and have been tested and proven safe.

  14. Are Bliss products suitable for vegetarians/vegans?

    Yes.

  15. Are Bliss products cruelty free?

Yes, we are 100% cruelty free and we will never test on animals. That’s our promise!

Sonic Whitening Toothbrush

  1. How long does it take to fully charge the Sonic Whitening Toothbrush?

It is recommended to leave the Sonic Toothbrush on full charge at all times. Normally, it gets a full charge in 1 hour.
  2. How hard are the bristles?

They are Soft/Medium. We have made them so they are “one size fits all” and are gentle on teeth and gums.
  3. Do you sell the charger mount separately?

Unfortunately, we do not sell it separately. It only comes with the Sonic Whitening Toothbrush.
  4. Does the Sonic Whitening Toothbrush have battery protection in case I forgot to remove the brush from the charger?

    Yes, it has overcharge protection.
  5. How long does a toothbrush head last before it needs to be replaced?

Like every toothbrush, it is advisable to change your toothbrush head every 3 months.
  6. Are sonic toothbrushes better than regular toothbrushes?

With manual toothbrushes, most people tend to use a lateral, back-and-forth motion as opposed to the recommended circular movements that sonic toothbrushes achieve. Our sonic toothbrush has 3 brushing modes and a 30-second interval timer. This means that you won’t miss any important sections of your mouth, and have different modes for brushing your teeth. For most people with a normal toothbrush, you can only get around 300 brush strokes per minute manually, however with a sonic toothbrush, you can get up to 30,000 - 40,000, providing teeth cleaning that is virtually unattainable by standard brushing alone. Studies have even shown that sonic toothbrushes provide superior plaque removal and effectively people can clean their teeth with this technology more effectively. Many sonic toothbrush users also say that they brush longer than they would with a regular toothbrush due to the ease of use and the built-in timer.
  7. Are sonic toothbrushes better than electric toothbrushes?

Sonic toothbrushes vibrate faster than your standard electric toothbrush. Because sonic toothbrushes vibrate at around 10 times the rate of an electric toothbrush, a 2-minute brushing session with a sonic toothbrush will give you more cleaning power than brushing your teeth with an electric toothbrush. Our sonic toothbrush also has 3 brushing modes and a 30-second interval timer. This means more variety and ensures no tooth is missed.
  8. Do sonic toothbrushes whiten teeth?

In general, the answer to this question is yes. Sonic toothbrushes are capable of removing stains by polishing away external stains that collect on the outer surface of the enamel, improving the overall appearance of your teeth and helping to support your teeth whitening journey. When your tooth has discoloration it is a combination of stains on the outside surface of the teeth and stains within the inner layers of the tooth. It has been proven that over time Sonic toothbrushes produce better stain removal results than manual toothbrushes.
  9. What is so special about a sonic toothbrush and how do they work?

Sonic toothbrushes vibrate much faster than your average toothbrush which means they can efficiently clean the surface of your teeth faster. They are a great investment in your oral health because the sonic toothbrush is undeniably more efficient in cleaning your teeth, and with a timer involved you will spend the same amount of time on all teeth. This helps to avoid bad hygiene, get healthier gums, and a brighter smile. Ultimately, you only need to guide your Bliss sonic toothbrush along the surface of your teeth and the brush will do the rest.
  10. What is a sonic electric toothbrush?

A Bliss Sonic toothbrush is designed to electronically brush your teeth in the easiest and most effective way. Our bristles are engineered to move laterally, working from side to side, all the while producing sonic vibrations that drive toothpaste and water around your teeth and gums. This mechanical cleaning action is similar but more effective than your normal toothbrush.  It also includes a 30-second interval timer, so you know when to move to the next section of your mouth, ensuring no teeth are missed. By brushing with a Bliss sonic toothbrush, you are protecting your teeth from decay and damage, bad breath, and discoloration, while supporting your teeth whitening journey.
  11. Tell me more about the Bliss Sonic Toothbrush!?

The Bliss Sonic Toothbrush is an electric toothbrush which is powered by a system that causes the toothbrush bristles to move laterally from side-to-side producing sonic vibrations.

The brush head is very similar to that of a manual toothbrush which provides a mechanical cleaning action. This coupled with the lateral motion of the bristles and sonic vibrations helps to drive fluid (toothpaste, water and saliva) between the teeth and gums, helping to clean hard to reach areas of the mouth.

  12. Why should the Bliss Sonic Toothbrush be a part of my whitening regime?

The key to good brushing is gently brushing for a long enough period of time and systemically cleaning the inside and outside of all of your teeth. Studies show that not only can sonic toothbrushes whiten teeth better than a manual toothbrush in just one week, it also can improve gum health in just two!

The Bliss Sonic Toothbrush includes a 30-second interval timer, so you know when to move onto the next section of your mouth.

This timer is invaluable in ensuring that you brush for long enough, because studies have shown that the average time spent brushing with a manual brush is 40 – 50 seconds, which simply isn’t sufficient.

Whitening Primer Toothpaste

  1. Are your products safe for children? Especially the toothpaste?

We do not recommend children under the age of 10 to use our products.
  2. Is it okay to use a different toothpaste as prep before using the strips?

We do not recommend using regular toothpaste to prime the teeth before using our Whitening Strips, as regular toothpaste contains fluoride which creates a barrier which will reduce the effectiveness of the strips.
  3. Is it okay to use mouthwash after brushing my teeth with your Whitening Primer Toothpaste?

We do not recommend that you use mouthwash after brushing using our toothpaste. Water is enough.
  4. Are your products safe for kids? Especially the toothpaste.

We do not recommend kids below 10 years old to use our product.
  5. Do whitening toothpastes actually work?

Yes, whitening toothpastes will help to whiten teeth by removing surface stains, such as those caused by drinking coffee or smoking. Our Whitening Primer Toothpaste contains special micro-polishers which effectively remove surface stains helping to return teeth back to their natural whiteness. Our toothpaste is also ideal for maintaining your white smile after a course of teeth whitening.

  6. Can I use a whitening toothpaste everyday?

Yes, you can use Bliss Whitening Primer toothpaste like you would use your normal toothpaste.

  7. What benefits will I get from using the Bliss Whitening Primer Toothpaste?

Our specially formulated Primer Toothpaste will help to whiten teeth by removing surface stains, such as those caused by drinking coffee or smoking. Although it will not physically whiten teeth like peroxide-based strips, it contains special micro-polishers which effectively remove surface stains helping to return teeth back to their natural whiteness. It is also ideal for maintaining your white smile after a course of Bliss Whitening Strips.

Applying our Bliss Primer Toothpaste prior to every Bliss Whitening Strips application will ensure a clean base for the strips to sit, and achieve the best results for a whiter smile.
